The NYC Grassroots Media Conference will feature a film festival and art exhibition during the course of the conference on February 24th at the New School.
We are looking for art installations, audio, video and multi-media works. Special consideration will be given to projects and artistic efforts created by New York City based artists that connect with the theme of the conference: How can independent media best serve the needs of communities organizing around grassroots issues of justice and equality, both here and abroad?
Film Submissions
Video and audio submissions must be submitted with your application. Shorts, under 10 minutes long are preferred. We ask that your video piece be in either VHS or DVD format.
Art Submissions
For all other visual art mediums (other than video) we ask you to submit a photograph, slide, or DVD with your application. Please note the size and dimensions of your piece.
