Video Lighting for Interviews on a Low Budget

Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 04/15/2009 - 11:33am
Short Description:

This hands-on workshop caters to novice video makers who are considering working on a new project or are beginning production. Workshop producers will demonstrate basic lighting techniques, such as 3-point lighting for interviews, and show how participants can use everyday affordable materials to make their videos “shine.” The leaders of this workshop are themselves activist filmmakers who want to share techniques, insights and essential skills so that their fellow creators can make even better tools for social change. Fortunately for grassroots media makers, it's easy to grab a camcorder, shoot and upload a video to YouTube for distribution. However, it takes a little more effort to make that video appear more “professional.” With the above in mind, we would like to interpret the conference's theme, HOPE to ACTION, quite literally.
